Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Fernwood Cedar Health provides primary and specialty care in Raleigh, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient education. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
