Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Harborlight Drift Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Oakland. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around client sites against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
