Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Ridge Insurance and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around premium billing against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
