Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Clearpath Birch Farms Group grows and distributes produce from farms near Charleston. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around seasonal crews against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
