Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Fernwood Umber Facilities is a facilities company in Albuquerque with crews on day and night shifts, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
