Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Cedar Haven Insurance Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to underwriting files, and clear open items. • Track costs around claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
