Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Silverline Kestrel Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Wichita. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 134 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around pricing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with promotions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
