Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Amberfield Sparrow Environmental Services Group collects and processes waste and recycling around Jackson. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to weigh tickets, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
