Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Yarrow Foods and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around allergen controls against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer specifications, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
