Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Silverline Orchard Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Minneapolis, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around billing disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
