Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Keystone Freight and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer tracking against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
