Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Highbridge Basin Health is a healthcare provider in San Diego with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 84 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with referrals. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
