Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Summit Rook Housing provides affordable homes and support services around New Orleans. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
