Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Cedar Thistle Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for vendor spend, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
