Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Silverline Timber Housing Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance stores. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
