Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Harborlight Oak Legal Group is a San Diego practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to court deadlines, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
