Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Lumen Beacon Housing Group provides affordable homes and support services around Pittsburgh. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We value patience and follow-through. What you will do • Track costs around resident services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance stores. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
