Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Nova Forge Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around San Antonio. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to meter readings, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
