Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Lumen Ridge Insurance is an insurance company in Fresno with claims and service teams. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around premium billing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to underwriting files, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
