Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bluepeak Vale Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Buffalo, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around maintenance stores against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with repair requests. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
