Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Harborlight Cross Civic Services works with county and city offices around Fort Worth, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 196 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to budget submissions, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
