Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Clearpath Vista Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Reno, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around pipe repairs against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
