Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Cedar Hospitality and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with reviews and feedback. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
