Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Northwind Corner Auto Group is a Rochester company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
