Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bluepeak Keystone Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in St. Louis with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around collection routes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
