Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Bright West Energy is an energy provider in Denver focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 585 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around billing disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Denver. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
