Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Highbridge Umber Transit Planning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
