Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Summit Vale Financial Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
