Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Foxglove Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Charlotte, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
