Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Stonegate Bridge Civic Services supports public agencies in Milwaukee with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around case files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
