Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Quarry Energy and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
