Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Fernwood Drift Telecom is a telecommunications provider in San Antonio focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 400 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
