Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Harborlight Kestrel Staffing Group places workers with employers around Houston. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around timekeeping against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
