Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Northwind Juniper Inspection Services Group tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Houston. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
