Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Harborlight Ridge Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Philadelphia. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
