Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Silverline Birch Freight Group is a Richmond logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
