Accountant - revenue reconciliation (remote)

Silverline Lantern Insurance is an insurance company in Providence with claims and service teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to premium billing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around catastrophe response against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
