Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Raleigh, NC)

Lumen Cobalt Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Raleigh, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 159 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to attendance records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
