Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Raleigh, NC)

Northwind Wilder Property Management is a Raleigh property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of about 608 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around maintenance requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease renewals, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
