Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Providence, RI)

Lumen Hollow Legal Group provides legal services in Providence across employment, housing and small-business law. We are hiring an Accountant to take on revenue reconciliation. We are a close group and share the work. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around client files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to court deadlines, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with court deadlines. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
