Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Providence, RI)

Cedar Harbor Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for care plans, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 588 people based in Providence. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with care plans. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
