Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Portland, OR)

Nova Ivory Banking Services Group is a regional lender in Portland with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loan files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
