Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Phoenix, AZ)

Clearpath Union Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for test reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
