Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Oakland, CA)

Bluepeak Quill Health Group is a healthcare provider in Oakland with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
