Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Oakland, CA)

Harborlight Yarrow Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for patient scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient scheduling.
