Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Oakland, CA)

Rivermark Lantern Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around learning materials against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with enrolment.
