Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Oakland, CA)

Highbridge Meridian Care Services supports families and individuals in Oakland with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our revenue reconciliation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Track costs around client records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to visit scheduling, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with visit scheduling. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
