Accountant - revenue reconciliation (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Bridge Freight and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. We reward reliability. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
