Accountant - revenue reconciliation (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Ember Markets Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be revenue reconciliation. You would join a small organisation of about 134 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with promotions. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
