Accountant - revenue reconciliation (New Orleans, LA)

Bright Orchard Freight is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on revenue reconciliation for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 859 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer tracking.
